Amy M. Galles

Amy M. Galles, 37 years old, of Primghar, IA & formerly of Remsen, IA, died Thursday, May 19, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, IA.         Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Remsen with Rev. William McCarthy officiating.  Burial will be in the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Remsen.  Friends may call anytime after 2 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2011.  There will be a parish rosary at 3 p.m. and a vigil prayer service at 6:30 p.m. followed by a Catholic Order of Foresters Rosary all at the Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen, IA.        Amy was born Aug. 9, 1973, at Sioux City, IA, the daughter of Larry & Ann (Harpenau) Galles.        Amy was raised in the Remsen area & attended Remsen Union School graduating in 1992.  Amy lived in Primghar with the Pride Group & worked in various establishments through the Pride Group.        Amy was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Catholic Order of Foresters.  One of Amy’s greatest loves was spending time with her family.        Survivors include; her parents, Larry & Ann Galles of Remsen; One brother, Tom Galles & his fiancé Adrienne Valentine of Sioux City, IA; One sister, Lisa Zbylut & her husband Kris of Papillion, NE; Her nieces & nephews, Cameron Galles, Claire, Connor, Zoe & Zac Zbylut. Several Aunts & Uncles.        Preceded by: Her brother Russ Galles; Her maternal Grandparents; Henry & Mildred Harpenau; Her paternal grandparents, Arnold & Coletta Galles.        Casket Bearers will be: Barry Galles, Ken & Keith Ahlers, Terry Schilmoeller, Jason Bohnenkamp, Rick Harpenau.         C.O.F. Honorary Bearers will be, Mike, Steve, Brad, Nick & Margaret Galles, Lee, Mike, Eric & Mark Harpenau, Tony Schroeder, Jennifer Ruba, Laura Bohnenkamp.
