Angeline M. Klein, 83 years old, of Granville, IA, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015 at Praire Ridge Care Center in Orange City, IA.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Oct. 5, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Granville with Rev. Terry Roder officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be anytime after 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2015. There will be a parish rosary at 5 p.m. by the Catholic Order of Foresters and a vigil prayer service at 7 p.m. all at the Church. Services have been entrusted to Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen.
Angie was born May 22, 1932 at Ashton, IA, the daughter of Ben & Nina (Barnes) Stallman. She moved to Granville in 1935 where she received her education at St. Joseph’s Catholic School graduating in May 1950. She then went to work at the Hospers Savings Bank in Granville. In June of 1955 she married Jim Klein and continued working part time in the bank and raising three children.
Angie was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, church guild, Catholic Order of Foresters, Christian Mothers and Catholic Daughters of America until coming down with Parkinson’s and Dementia. Throughout the years she loved to read, listen to music, watch Spalding Baseball and follow the Minnesota Twins.
Survivors include her husband Jim of Granville; three children, Jeff Klein of Granville, Patti (Steve) Meis of Orange City, IA, Lisa Osterkamp of Sioux Center, IA; 9 grandchildren, Josh Meis and special friend Renee Vander Broek, Jackie (Jason) Hunley, Adam (Tara) Klein, Jenna Klein, Emily (Jake) Meyers, Sarah Kuil and special friend Riley Flynn, Travis Osterkamp and special friend Lexy Batchelder, Melissa Osterkamp and special friend Zack Langley, Matt Osterkamp; 5 great-grandchildren, Ava Meis, Lexi and Austin Kuil, Charlotte J. Hunley, Shaylee Osterkamp; four sisters-in-law, Dorothy Stallman of Yankton, SD, Verna Bunkers of Granville, Lois Wiltgen of Carlsbad, CA, Clarice (Jerry) Roder of Granville, IA.
Preceded in death by: her parents and one brother Theodore Stallman.
