Florence Ahlers, age 95 of Granville, IA passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Happy Siesta Health Care Center in Remsen, IA.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m., Monday, April 12, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Granville, IA, with Father Daniel Greving officiating and Deacon Dan Goebel assisting. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Granville. Visitation with family present will be 1 hour before the funeral on Monday at the church, masks are required. Florence was born Dec. 10, 1925, in rural Granville, the daughter of William P. & Mary (Schwarz) Ahlers. She was raised and educated through eighth grade in Granville. She lived her whole life in Granville and worked at Beck’s Store for 43 years. On June 24, 2016 she moved into Happy Siesta Health Care Center in Remsen.
Florence was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Granville.
Survivors include her sisters, Ruth Green of Canton, MI, Clarice (Ray) Heller of Milford, IA; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Ahlers of Granville; Several Nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Emmet Ahlers, sister, Lucille (Ambrose) Schumacher and brother-in-law, Dent Green.
Casket bearers will be Steve & Rose Kramer, Dave Ahlers, Doug Heller, Paul Schumacher
