Paula Maxine Schroeder, 93 of Remsen, IA died Aug 25, 2024 at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars, IA.

 Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday August 31, 2024 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen, IA with Rev. Timothy Pick officiating and Deacon Doug Heeren assisting. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Remsen, IA. Visitation with family present will be 4-7 p.m. on Friday. There will be a rosary and vigil prayer service at 5 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Visitation will resume from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Saturday morning at the church.

Paula was born on Feb. 12, 1931, the daughter of William and Catherine (Ludwig) Tentinger. She graduated from Remsen St. Mary’s High School in 1949. On May 2, 1953 she married Gilbert Matthew Schroeder at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The couple made their home on a farm south of Remsen where they raised their family. In April of 1992 they moved to Remsen.

Paula enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

 She loved to help family and friends. Paula always had a listening ear and a treat to offer.

 She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America, and Christian Mothers.

 Survivors include her 10 children; Ann (Bob) Pick of Omaha, NE, Joe (Kendra) Schroeder of Le Mars, IA, Jane (Randy) Vaske of Remsen, IA, Connie (Bill) Kellen of Omaha, NE, Dale (Debbie) Schroeder of Remsen, IA, Steve (Rita) Schroeder of Cedar Falls, IA, Ron (Carmella) Schroeder of Glendale, AZ, Jay (Tami) Schroeder of Remsen, IA, Russ (Michelle) Schroeder of Remsen, IA, Judy (Dan) Roder of Sioux City, IA. 38 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren. two sisters; Doris Ruhland of Le Mars, IA, and Paula’s twin sister Phyllis (Jim) Boever of Davenport, IA, and numerous nieces and nephews.

 Paula was preceded in death by her husband Gib, infant daughter Susan Kay, her parents, sisters Mercedes Augustine, Helen Ritz, Rita Henke, Lois Toups, brothers; Erwin Tentinger and Roman Tentinger.

Casket bearers will be Allison Kellen, John Schroeder, Michael Pick, Trevor Schroeder, Quinn McArthur, Garret Schroeder, Jordan Vaske, Elijah Schroeder, Nick Schroeder, Sam Roder
