Regina Portz, 82 of Hospers, IA passed away Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014 at Sanford Senior Care in Sheldon, IA.
Funeral Service will be Monday, Nov. 17, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Hospers, IA with Rev. Mark Stoll officiating and Rev. Terry Roder and Msgr. Kenneth Seifried concelebrating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Granville, IA. Visitation will be anytime after 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014. There will be a parish rosary at 5 p.m. and a vigil prayer service at 7 p.m., all at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Hospers. Services have been entrusted to the Fisch Funeral Home & Monument of Remsen.
Regina was born July 31, 1932, at rural Hospers, IA the daughter of Louis & Petronella (Beckmann) Stoll. She was raised in the Hospers area and attended St. Anthony’s Grade School.
She married Arnold Portz on Aug. 23, 1967. The couple farmed in the Granville area. Arnold passed away Oct. 27, 1974. Regina was a homemaker. Arnold and Regina had one daughter, Ruth.
Regina was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and church guild. She enjoyed gardening, baking and babysitting her nieces, nephews and grandkids.
Survivors include; her daughter, Ruth (Tom) Konz of Granville, IA and four grandchildren, Tyler, Sarah, Ashley and Jason Konz; three brothers, Leo (Donna) Stoll of Hospers, Peter (Betty) Stoll of Alton, IA and Vincent Stoll of Granville, IA; sister-in-law, Helen Stoll of Hospers; several nieces and nephews.
Preceded by: her parents, one brother, Norbert Stoll; father and mother-in-law, William and Barbara Portz, two sisters-in-law, Mary Stoll and Martha Portz.
Casket Bearers will be Robert, Carl, Gary and Paul Stoll, Mark Konz and Jeremy Sauer.
