Ryan Kluver, 39, of Glenwood, Iowa and formerly of Oyens died Tuesday, June 20th, 2017 at On With Life Long Term Skilled Care in Glenwood, Iowa following a motorcycle accident that occurred July 25, 1995.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am on Monday, June 26, 2017 at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Oyens with Rev. William McCarthy officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery in Moville, IA. Visitation with family present will be 5-7pm Sunday. There will be a vigil prayer service at 7p.m. all at Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen. Ryan was born on November 28th, 1977, to Richard and Diane (Petersen) Kluver at Sioux City, Iowa. He grew up in Oyens and attended Remsen Union Community School where he played football. His jobs in high school included a cook at L & J Drive Inn in Remsen and Country Kitchen in LeMars. He delivered newspapers for the LeMars Daily Sentinel, Sioux City Journal and Des Moines Register.
Ryan loved country music. He enjoyed camping and working on automobiles but his biggest passion while on this earth was his family and friends.
While at On With Life in Glenwood Ryan received an honorary diploma from Glenwood High School.
Survivors include his parents, Richard & Diane Kluver of LeMars, IA; grandmother, Louriane Kluver of Mapleton, IA; two siblings, Chad Kluver and special friend Twilla Kramer of LeMars, IA, Heidi Rasmussen and special friend Daniel Landsness of LeMars; three nieces and nephews, Shelby Axe of LeMars, Tyler Kluver Feeney of LeMars and Dylan Rasmussen of LeMars, IA; aunts and uncles, Joe (Deb) Petersen of Moville, IA, Tom (Barb) Thiesen of Lawton, IA, Kevin (Stacey) Petersen of Moville, IA, Clayton (Paula) Kluver of Smithland, IA, Jim (Sandy) Kluver of Bronson, IA, Gary (Carla) Kluver of Sloan, IA; many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leonard and Gladys (Lindgren) Petersen and Roy Kluver; cousins Alexander, Matthew and Arthur.
Casket bearers will be Jason Petersen, Kevin Petersen, Nathan Theisen, Nick Theisen, Travis Theisen, Easton Petersen and Tyler Kluver Feeney.
The family would like to thank On With Life Long Term Care Center and it’s staff for taking such wonderful care of Ryan over the years.
